Conservation

Conservation is not something for tree-huggers and lovers of twee furry things… it really is a matter of life and death. We are wiping out species virtually every day and reducing forests at an exponential rate. Even if you don’t give a flying fox for the wild world sit up and smell the slash and burn because there will soon come a time when we are a threatened species because of our myopia and stupidity!

We can all do SOMETHING whether it be re-cycling, cutting down on fosil fuel use or keeping our own backyards as havens for wildlife. We can all plant native species, food and cover for birds, leave ‘messy’ corners for invertebrates or create ponds. And, no matter how much we love the flowers, none of us should be using chemical controls. My little patch has been totally organic for a dozen years and maximises its potential for wild things.
