Araniella cucurbitina – Cucumber Spider

Araniella cucurbitina is also known as the Cucumber (Green) (Orb) Spider… perhaps it should be named after another green vegetable as it is barely the size of a small pea. The picture below was actually taken when we noticed one clinging to our car at a service station. Co-incidentally, I saw my second ever one the next day in our garden.
