Apis mellifera – Honey Bee

The Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) is our familiar friend and much exploited pollenator and honey producer. Recent evidence shows that the devasation by the mite may be exacerbated by the stress the bees are under through the common poractice of moving hives around to pollenate different crops.
