Eilema lurideola – Common Footman

OK So I am cheating – I didn’t take this picture and its not even in my garden! The truth is that I described a species I had seen to my son and a few days later one turned up in his moth trap.

He has all the equipment and skill to take wonderful pictures… so thanks Ash.
