Bombus lapidarius – Red-tailed Bumblebee

Another of our more common bumblebees but, to my mind, one of the most attractive with its jet black body tipped with a bright red tail.

I said when I posted some pics last year… these are ‘record’ shots taken with my telephone, but they will be replaced when I can offer some better images.
